The classic Seychelles trip
Three islands, one easy loop
Most first trips start on Mahé, the largest island, with the capital Victoria, the beach at Beau Vallon and the mountain trails of Morne Seychellois. A fast ferry takes you to Praslin, home of the Vallée de Mai and Anse Lazio, and a short boat hop lands you on La Digue, where bicycles replace cars and Anse Source d'Argent waits.
- Vallée de Mai and the coco de mer palm, a UNESCO World Heritage Site
- Anse Source d'Argent and its granite boulders
- Hikes to Copolia and Anse Major on Mahé
- Snorkelling at Sainte Anne Marine National Park

Ferry times, trade wind seasons and the high cost of last-minute bookings shape a Seychelles trip. Our free planner helps you choose how many nights on each island and when to go.

A note from our founder
A note from our founder
My first time visiting Kenya, I was genuinely surprised with how fast it began feeling like home. The people are so friendly, the food is delicious and familiar, and the accommodations are modern and upscale.
During my travels throughout the continent, I commonly hear tourists share stories about being scammed or taken advantage of, which is both frustrating and disheartening.
Living in Kenya for the last 2 years, I have had the great fortune to meet a network of wonderful Kenyans who have continuously help guide my family's journey. Their shared knowledge has not only greatly enhanced our overall experience here, but it has also saved us tons of time, energy, and resources.
With BlissPoint Travel, my hope is to build a global community that is willing to share useful, uncommon knowledge so that we can all blissfully enjoy the wonders our world has to offer.
Questions we hear most
Is Seychelles worth visiting?
Yes, if you love beaches, clear water, walking and quiet. The granite islands look unlike anywhere else, the wildlife is unique and the pace is slow. It is not a nightlife or big sightseeing destination.
Do I need a visa for Seychelles?
Seychelles has long welcomed visitors of every nationality without a visa, issuing a visitor's permit on arrival, but you must apply online for a travel authorisation before you fly. Check the official Seychelles Electronic Border System and your own government's advice before you book.
What currency is used in Seychelles?
The Seychelles rupee. Cards work in most hotels and many restaurants, and ATMs are in Victoria and on Praslin and La Digue, but carry some rupees for buses, small shops and takeaways.
Which islands should I visit?
A first trip usually combines Mahé, Praslin and La Digue. They are linked by fast ferries, and Praslin also has short domestic flights from Mahé.
When is the best time to go?
April to May and October to November are the calm months between the trade winds, with the clearest water for snorkelling. The whole year is warm, and Seychelles sits outside the main cyclone belt.
Is Seychelles safe for tourists?
Generally yes. Petty theft from beaches, cars and rooms, strong currents at some beaches, and walking alone on remote trails are the main things to think about. Read your government's current travel advice before you go.
