A note from our founder
A note from our founder
My first time visiting Kenya, I was genuinely surprised with how fast it began feeling like home. The people are so friendly, the food is delicious and familiar, and the accommodations are modern and upscale.
During my travels throughout the continent, I commonly hear tourists share stories about being scammed or taken advantage of, which is both frustrating and disheartening.
Living in Kenya for the last 2 years, I have had the great fortune to meet a network of wonderful Kenyans who have continuously help guide my family's journey. Their shared knowledge has not only greatly enhanced our overall experience here, but it has also saved us tons of time, energy, and resources.
With BlissPoint Travel, my hope is to build a global community that is willing to share useful, uncommon knowledge so that we can all blissfully enjoy the wonders our world has to offer.
Questions we hear most
What does a Kenya travel concierge do?
We plan and look after your trip from the time you leave home until the time you return: arrival and airport pickup, transport, stays, safaris and day trips, with a real person answering your questions throughout. Plan your trip with us.
I have never been to Kenya. Is it safe?
The US and UK advise visitors to take care in Kenya, not to stay away, and the areas they say to avoid are mostly far from where visitors go. Petty crime such as phone snatching is common, and violent crime happens too, particularly in the cities, so simple habits and arranged transport matter. Our first-timer's guide and safety guide answer the questions honestly.
Do I need a visa for Kenya?
Most visitors now need an Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) instead of a visa. Apply only on the official site, etakenya.go.ke, and check the current fee and rules there.
I am Kenyan. Do my children on foreign passports need an eTA?
Yes, unless their nationality is exempt. Kenyan citizens on Kenyan passports do not need one. Our homecoming guide covers family travel in detail.
Who will meet me at the airport?
A driver from our sister company, Urban Escape Luxury Cars, waits in the arrivals area at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) with a sign bearing your name. Your flight is tracked, so an early or late landing is covered.
How do I contact you from the US or abroad?
Book a call at a time that suits you, or send us a message, from our contact page. It works the same from the US, Kenya or anywhere else. Our team is based in Kenya.
