A note from our founder

A note from our founder

My first time visiting Kenya, I was genuinely surprised with how fast it began feeling like home. The people are so friendly, the food is delicious and familiar, and the accommodations are modern and upscale.

During my travels throughout the continent, I commonly hear tourists share stories about being scammed or taken advantage of, which is both frustrating and disheartening.

Living in Kenya for the last 2 years, I have had the great fortune to meet a network of wonderful Kenyans who have continuously help guide my family's journey. Their shared knowledge has not only greatly enhanced our overall experience here, but it has also saved us tons of time, energy, and resources.

With BlissPoint Travel, my hope is to build a global community that is willing to share useful, uncommon knowledge so that we can all blissfully enjoy the wonders our world has to offer.

Questions we hear most

Is Saint Vincent and the Grenadines good for first-time Caribbean travellers?

Yes, if you like a quieter, less commercial Caribbean. English is the official language, people are friendly and the islands are easy to reach through Argyle International Airport. It suits travellers who prefer nature, sailing and village life to big resorts.

Do I need a visa for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines?

It depends on your passport. Many nationalities can visit without a visa for a set period, while others must apply in advance. Check the official government and immigration guidance and your own government's travel advice before you book.

What currency is used in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines?

The Eastern Caribbean dollar, which is pegged to the US dollar. US dollars are accepted in many tourist places and cards work in most hotels, but carry local cash for minibuses, markets and small bars.

When is the best time to visit?

December to May is the dry season and the best time for sailing, hiking and beaches. June to November is hurricane season, with the highest risk from August to October, though it is also quieter and greener.

How do I get between the islands?

Ferries run from Kingstown to Bequia many times a day and less often to Canouan, Mayreau and Union Island. Small planes connect Argyle with Bequia, Canouan, Mustique and Union. Day sails and water taxis cover the Tobago Cays.

How many days do I need?

Ten days is a comfortable first trip: three or four on St. Vincent for Kingstown, a waterfall and the volcano, three on Bequia, and a few days around Union, Mayreau and the Tobago Cays.
